Pins of District 4

There are many pins that have been created for District 4.  Following is a representation of some of them.  Some leagues have created league pins.  Summer 2002.

Russ Pierce umpired in the 2005 Majors World Series at Williamsport.  This pin is one of a set of several, each with a different color scheme. The pin carries information about Pierce, based on his interests and activities.  In the perimeter are represented family, church, university, and military career.

Following the annexation of Mars into Virginia District 4 in 2003 this safe and the following out pins were created, using the Marvin the Martian motif.  There are several of each, each with a different flag color.
Long time and popular district personalities John Pyron and Tim Young are memorialized on the pins.
This is the popularly traded Yoda Pin.  There are about 10 of these pins.  Each is distinguished by the color of the light saber bat.  In addition to the brown (shown) bat, there are white, blue, yellow, oranges, purples, silver, and pink.
This District 4 pin is one of a set of six, each with a different color scheme.  The league names are given in the periphery.  This pin was created prior to the inclusion of Alexandria in District 4.  Stars around the edge of the state represent the other 14 districts in Virginia.
This District 4 pin was created for the 2000 season and is one in a set of five.  Shown is the green version and includes Alexandria in the leagues listed.  There is a reference to Falls Church and District 4 Little League enthusiast and advocate, Tim Young, who died in December 1999.
One of a set of ten, this pin (in the shape of the Pentagon) recognizes 9-11 and highlights Let's Role.  This is done within a sequence of symbols which recite the Little League Pledge.

A participant pin given to all player and coach participants in the District 4 Starliper, 9-10 and Majors tournaments.  Each year the year designation increments to be current.

An umpire pin given to umpires after working a District 4 tournament game throughout the late 90's and early 00's.  Color schemes in this series are white with red characters (shown), blue with teal, blue with green, blue with white, and blue with red.

This large umpire pin is a set of five, each with a different color scheme.  Shown is blue with yellow state.  Other combinations are maroon with white state, red with blue, green with yellow, and black with white.  Along the base paths reference is made to umpire oriented rules.
There are two sets of Strike 1-2-3, making a total of six different pins.  Set 1 is red, white and blue (shown).  Set two is green, yellow, and black.  The carpenter motif represents the pin creator.
The Little League World Congress was held in Ottawa in 2001.  Virginia was represented by this pin, with representatives from each of the 15 districts having a different highlighted baseball on the periphery.
This World Congress pin is done in the motif of the district pin seen above.  The outline of the state is shown with District 4 highlighted in front of the cardinal.  Yoda and the 15 stars are seen in the bottom half.
This Congress pin is done in the pattern of a quilt with swatches identifying the connection of District 4 and Canada (maple leaf).  It is an Assistant District Administrator (ADA) pin from VA-4.
Rich Ealy umpired in the 2001 Majors World Series at Williamsport.  This pin is one of a set of four, each with a different color scheme.  The pin carries information about Ealy, based on his interests and activities.  It is in the shape of the Pentagon and says so on the perimeter, as well as FSU SEMINOLES, BRAVES, and US AIR FORCE
